With the amendment made to the Communiqué on Procedures and Principles Regarding the Implementation of Article 376 of the Turkish Commercial Code, published in Official Gazette dated October 31, 2023; in the calculations regarding capital loss or insolvency, the period of the regulation regarding the disregard of half of the total of exchange rate losses arising from foreign currency denominated liabilities that have not yet been fulfilled, and lease expenses, depreciation and personnel expenses that have been accrued in 2020-2021, has been extended from 01.01.2024 to 01.01.2025.

With the amendment made to the Communiqué on Determination of Interest Rates to be Applied in Rediscount and Advance Transactions, published in the Official Gazette dated November 1, 2023; the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey determined that the discount interest rate to be applied to rediscount transactions against bills with a maximum of 3 months to maturity as 35.75 percent per annum, the interest rate to be applied to advance transactions as 36.75 percent per annum. These rates have entered into force on the date of publication of the Official Gazette.
